Pasquale T. Romano Sr. Endowment Fund

This endowment fund was established in 2002 in memory of Pasquale (Pat) T. Romano Sr. by his wife, Susan, and his six children.  Pat was an avid supporter of SCARC services and assisted many families in obtaining the supports that their children needed. As these children grew into adults, Pat proudly followed their progress and of the role of SCARC services in their success.  For the last forty-five years of his life, Pat was an unflagging ally of individuals with developmental disabilities and a vocal advocate within the community for their needs.

The interest from the Pasquale T. Romano, Sr. Endowment Fund is utilized for programs and services provided by SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc.  The principle will never be invaded.

SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc. provides important, lifespan services to individuals with developmental disabilities:  

  • They serve as guardian for individuals who are without family or friends who can serve in that capacity.  Families have the peace of mind of knowing that someone will be there to oversee the well being of their loved one when they are incapacitated or die.  
  • Through their Pro Se Legal Advocacy Program, SCARC Guardianship Services assists families with becoming guardians of their loved one with a developmental disability in a cost effective and streamlined approach.  Hundreds of families have been assisted with taking this important step, with the guidance of SCARC Guardianship’s experienced staff.
  • SCARC Guardianship Services also oversees a Community Trust and assists families with planning for the financial future of their loved one.
